You are free to sell your holiday lodge if you choose. You are required to notify the park when you decide to put your lodge up for sale. As specified in your holiday lodge license agreement, there will be a resale commission due to the park at the time of sale completion.

Yes, we do permit subletting at Chivenor Park.

Unlike many other holiday parks, we do not manage or administer sublets on your behalf. Subletting is entirely the responsibility of the lodge owner to organise and arrange.

Subletting is allowed only on special terms and is subject to the prior consideration and written approval of the park owner on a case-by-case basis. All proposed sublets must comply with the holiday-use planning restriction (i.e. the lodge may only ever be used for genuine holiday purposes and must never become anyone’s main or only residence).

We recommend viewing your purchase as a leisure investment. The more you use your lodge, the more value you’ll get out of it. However, we do not advise considering it as a financial investment.

Yes, lodges do depreciate over time. Factors like market demand, asset condition, and pitch availability influence the rate of depreciation, similar to a car. Typically, depreciation is more significant in the initial years.

ll new holiday lodges at Chivenor holiday park come with a BH&HPA licence agreement with a 99 year term.
